Three prominent European Union lawmakers expressed their heartfelt solidarity with Canadians impacted by widespread wildfires. Over 200 active fires are currently burning in Canada, with more than 100 out of control. Approximately 30,000 people have been evacuated, and states of emergency have been declared in Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

The lawmakers, including German EU legislator David McAllister, Spanish representative Javier Moreno Sánchez, and German official Tobias Cremer, emphasized Canada's close partnership with the EU. They praised the resilience of affected communities and the efforts of first responders.
