After being pardoned by Donald Trump, rioters involved in the Capitol attack have reinvented themselves as influencers, according to The Wall Street Journal (WSJ). Over forty individuals now identify as 'J6’ers,' referencing the January 6 incident.

These individuals generate income through podcasts, political campaigns, and merchandise sales. One convicted rioter sells 'J6 hostage' T-shirts for $50 and tours the U.S., while another markets a toy version of Nancy Pelosi’s lectern for $200.

Debra Maimone and Philip Vogel, known as the 'J6 couple,' run a business selling Trump-themed products, including controversial Confederate flags. Maimone also promotes high-end merchandise to her 196,000 followers on X.

Many rioters now openly label themselves as 'political prisoners' of January 6, leveraging platforms like X, where content moderation has been relaxed under Elon Musk.
