Deadly Shooting at Bite of Seattle Festival Leaves Community in Shock

• Carlos Israel Sanchez Villalba, 44, a husband and father of three, described by family as "one of the best people on the planet." He was shot in the torso and died at the scene.

Among the wounded, a 2-year-old boy was hospitalized in satisfactory condition and later discharged. Other victims — a 23-year-old, a 39-year-old, and a 56-year-old — were treated at Harborview Medical Center, with one listed in critical condition.

Police initially stated that two individuals shot at each other in the crowded festival area. However, court documents later revealed a third suspect. Authorities suspect the incident involved members of two rival gangs who opened fire on each other, striking innocent bystanders in the process.
