This approach is expected to reduce complexity and delivery time by 50%. Prasad Pore, Sr Director Analyst at Gartner, emphasized the importance of integrating large language models (LLMs) with internal data and adopting evolving technologies like vector search and metadata management.

Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) is emerging as a key strategy for deploying GenAI applications, enhancing accuracy by combining LLMs with business-owned datasets. Gartner recommends evolving data management platforms to support RAG-as-a-service and leveraging metadata for protection against malicious use and privacy issues.
