Israeli forces killed 36 Palestinians, including six near an aid center, as tensions escalate in Gaza. An activist boat nears the blockade, and Israel recovers a hostage's body.

Israeli forces killed at least 36 Palestinians on Saturday, according to Gaza's civil defence agency, six of them near a US-backed aid distribution center where thousands have gathered daily for humanitarian aid.
The shooting occurred near the Al-Alam roundabout in Rafah, where Gazans have been collecting aid from the Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) since late May. The Israeli military stated troops fired "warning shots" at individuals advancing in a threatening manner.
Meanwhile, an activist boat, including Swedish climate campaigner Greta Thunberg, approached Gaza to highlight the blockade's impact. The Israeli military warned it would enforce the naval blockade.
In a separate operation, Israeli forces recovered the body of Thai hostage Nattapong Pinta, allegedly killed by the Mujahideen Brigades.
