President Donald Trump's recent decisions have sparked debates about whether he is becoming an authoritarian leader. From ignoring court orders to signing multiple executive decrees, his actions have raised concerns among experts and the public alike.
A poll by the think tank More in Common revealed that a majority of Europeans view Trump as a dictator. In the UK, 56% hold this view, while in France and Germany, the figure rises to 59%. Poland is slightly lower at 47%.
Trump's statement about being a 'dictator for a day' if re-elected has further fueled these concerns. Some experts argue that his disregard for judicial rulings and attacks on the media are signs of authoritarian tendencies. Others, however, believe the U.S. democratic system will withstand his leadership style.
