Elon Musk's name appears in newly released Epstein documents suggesting a 2014 visit to his private island. Musk denies the claim as political tensions escalate over the document release.

Tech Billionaire Linked to Epstein's Private Island Visit
Newly released documents from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation have revealed that Elon Musk's name appears in connection with a potential visit to the convicted sex offender's private island in 2014. The documents, made public by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, contain a calendar entry dated December 6, 2014, that reads: "Reminder: Elon Musk to island 6 Dec (is this still happening?)".
Musk's Immediate Denial
Elon Musk quickly responded to the revelation on his social media platform X, stating simply: "This is incorrect" without providing further explanation. The entry appears in Epstein's calendar six years after the financier was officially registered as a sex offender following his 2008 conviction.
Epstein owned two private islands in the U.S. Virgin Islands at the time, which have been central to investigations into his sex trafficking operation. The documents were released as part of an ongoing congressional investigation into how federal authorities handled the Epstein case.
Political Fallout and Additional Revelations
The document release has sparked immediate political controversy. Democratic Representative Eric Swalwell commented on X: "Trump shows that Elon Musk appears in the Epstein documents. Revenge for Elon exposing Trump? Elon, what do you know about Trump's involvement?" This references Musk's earlier revelation that former President Donald Trump's name also appeared in the documents.
The documents also contain new details about Prince Andrew's connections to Epstein, including a May 12, 2000 flight on Epstein's private jet from New Jersey to Florida. The flight included Epstein, his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, and two other individuals whose names were redacted.
Other prominent figures mentioned in the documents include tech billionaire Peter Thiel, scheduled for lunch on November 27, 2017, and conservative strategist Steve Bannon, scheduled for breakfast on February 16, 2019 - just months before Epstein was indicted for sex trafficking minors.
Congressional Investigation Continues
Sara Guerrero, spokesperson for the House Oversight Committee, emphasized the importance of the document release: "It should be clear to every American that Jeffrey Epstein was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world. Each new document that comes out provides new information as we work toward justice for survivors and victims."
The Republican Party criticized the Democrats' decision to release the information, calling it "old news" and accusing Democrats of playing politics. Democratic Representative Robert Garcia countered: "We don't care how rich or powerful you are, whether you're Democrat or Republican. If you're in the Epstein documents, we will bring that to light and bring justice to the survivors."
The documents were provided by the Justice Department to the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating how sex trafficking charges against Epstein were handled before his death in prison in 2019. Epstein's death was ruled a suicide, though conspiracy theories about the circumstances have persisted.
