Ancient Tombs Over 3,000 Years Old Discovered in Luxor, Egypt

Three ancient tombs from the New Kingdom era were discovered in Luxor, belonging to officials of the Temple of Amun.

The tombs of three ancient Egyptian officials have been unearthed in Luxor, according to the Egyptian government. Dating back to the New Kingdom era (1539–1077 BCE), the tombs belonged to officials from the Temple of Amun. Inscriptions identified the owners as Amun-em-Ipet, Baki, and Es, who held various roles such as scribe, granary official, and mayor. The excavation was conducted by an entirely Egyptian team, marking a significant archaeological find.
