Apple Announces Major US Investment Expansion

Apple has significantly increased its US investment commitment to $600 billion over the next four years. The tech giant simultaneously launched its American Manufacturing Program (AMP), designed to strengthen domestic supply chains and advanced manufacturing capabilities.

American Manufacturing Program Details

AMP partners include Corning, Texas Instruments, Amkor, Broadcom, GlobalWafers, and TSMC. The initiative will bring iPhone and Apple Watch glass production entirely to Kentucky through an expanded Corning partnership. Apple will also source rare earth magnets from MP Materials in Texas.

Silicon Supply Chain Development

Apple is establishing a comprehensive US silicon ecosystem projected to produce over 19 billion chips in 2025. This includes wafer production in Texas, chip fabrication in Arizona and Utah, and advanced packaging in Arizona through partnerships with TSMC, Samsung, and GlobalFoundries.

National Facility Expansion

New projects include a Houston server plant supporting Apple Intelligence, a Detroit manufacturing academy opening August 19, and data center expansions in North Carolina, Iowa, Nevada, and Oregon. Apple's Austin campus continues development with new R&D facilities.
