The Flemish YouTuber Nathan Vandergunst, known as Acid, has been temporarily banned from posting online content and must remove a video where he disclosed the name of a convicted student. His lawyer confirmed this to the Flemish broadcaster VRT.

In the video, Acid shared details of a 24-year-old medical student from Leuven who was recently convicted of rape but received no punishment. The judge cited the student's 'talented and engaged' nature, arguing a prison sentence would 'disrupt him socially.'

The ruling sparked outrage, leading to widespread sharing of the perpetrator's personal details. Acid's video repeatedly displayed the student's name and contact information, claiming the perpetrator wouldn't escape accountability as easily as in court.

Police raided Vandergunst's home during the investigation, seizing a computer. He was later questioned and released under conditions, including a three-month ban on posting online and removing the video.

Vandergunst had previously received a suspended sentence for sharing names of individuals involved in the Sanda Dia case. He acknowledged the risk of imprisonment but stated he was willing to face consequences to expose the truth.

The video, viewed over 600,000 times, remains online but will be removed today, according to his lawyer.
