The shooter who opened fire at a school in Sweden in February had no radical or racist views, according to police. The motive for the shooting in the city of Örebro remains unclear.

The 35-year-old perpetrator, Rickard Andersson, killed ten students and teachers at the adult education school on February 4 before taking his own life. Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson described it as "the worst shooting in the country's history."

Andersson was a former student of the school. A spokesperson described him as a recluse who legally owned four firearms. Police suggest mental health issues and financial troubles may have played a role, along with his suicidal intentions. The victims appeared to be chosen randomly.
