Frank Butselaar, the Dutch tax advisor known as the 'fiscalist van de sterren' for his celebrity clients, was arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) immediately after his release from Danbury Federal Prison. Butselaar had just completed a 30-month sentence for tax fraud related to DJ Afrojack's false U.S. tax filings.

Failed Departure Attempt

Despite having a pre-booked flight to return to the Netherlands, ICE agents intercepted Butselaar at the prison gates. His legal team confirmed they had notified ICE of his departure plans, but officers stated "he's not going home today." The arrest stems from Butselaar's lack of legal immigration status after being extradited from Italy to face U.S. charges.
