Paris, June 03, 2025: IBM and Inclusive Brains, a pioneer in non-invasive neurotechnologies and multimodal artificial intelligence, have announced a groundbreaking joint study agreement. The collaboration aims to leverage advanced AI and quantum machine learning techniques to enhance the performance of brain-machine interfaces (BMIs).

BMIs hold immense potential for individuals with disabilities, particularly those who have lost the ability to use their hands or voice. By integrating AI and quantum technologies, the study seeks to enable users to control connected devices and digital environments without physical interaction, thereby improving accessibility and inclusion.

The partnership will focus on several key areas, including the use of IBM's Granite foundation models to optimize machine learning algorithms for brain activity classification. Additionally, the study will explore quantum machine learning techniques to refine the interpretation of brain signals. The research will adhere to ethical guidelines, ensuring responsible use of neurotechnology and neural data.

Professor Olivier Oullier, CEO of Inclusive Brains, emphasized the transformative potential of the collaboration, stating, "We are transitioning from generic interfaces to bespoke solutions tailored to individual needs." Béatrice Kosowski, President of IBM France, highlighted the social impact of the initiative, noting its potential to advance healthcare and inclusion.
