European tech companies report an increase in new customers, attributing the trend to calls for reduced reliance on American providers. Services like email, cloud storage, and collaborative document platforms are seeing heightened interest.

German email provider Tuta Mail welcomed nearly three times as many paying customers in March compared to June last year. Other companies, including Proton, Startmail, and Nextcloud, also noted significant growth.

Despite this, US giants like Google and Microsoft still dominate, with Gmail boasting 1.8 billion users. Experts warn that Europe must develop more integrated solutions to compete effectively.
