White House Ballroom Construction Set for September

Construction of a $200 million ballroom at the White House will commence this September. The 90,000-square-foot project fulfills President Donald Trump's 15-year vision for a grand event space on the presidential grounds.

Design Inspired by Trump Properties

Renderings reveal an opulent space featuring gold chandeliers, gilded Corinthian columns, marble floors, and three walls of arched windows overlooking the South Lawn. The design closely resembles ballrooms at Trump's Mar-a-Lago and Turnberry properties.

Replacing the East Wing

The new state ballroom will occupy the current East Wing location, temporarily relocating staff offices traditionally used by First Ladies. With seating for 650 guests, it will triple the capacity of the current largest White House event space.

Funding and Construction Timeline

Privately funded by Trump and donors, construction begins in September 2025. McCrery Architects, selected for their classical expertise, will preserve the White House's historical integrity while executing the project.
