US President Intervenes in Israel-Iran Conflict

US President Donald Trump has publicly reaffirmed that the ceasefire between Israel and Iran remains in effect, stating Israel will not conduct further attacks against Iran. The announcement came through Trump's Truth Social platform where he declared: "All aircraft will turn around and fly home. No one will be injured, the ceasefire holds."

Strong Warning Issued

Prior to this statement, Trump issued a stern warning to Israel in all capital letters on Truth Social: "Israel. Do not throw those bombs. If you do, it's a serious violation. Bring your pilots home now!"

Frustration Expressed Before NATO Summit

Speaking to reporters before departing for the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump expressed clear frustration with both nations, particularly criticizing Israel for retaliating after the agreement: "These countries have been fighting so long and hard, they have no idea 'what the fuck' they're doing."

Diplomatic Intervention

Israeli media subsequently reported a phone conversation between Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu, where Trump reportedly instructed Israel not to attack Iran. Netanyahu initially argued the attack was necessary due to Iran's alleged ceasefire violation but ultimately scaled back the operation to a single target instead of multiple strikes.

Conflicting Ceasefire Claims

Prior to Trump's intervention, Israel claimed Iran violated the ceasefire by launching rockets after its confirmation. Iran countered that Israel had actually breached the agreement through attacks occurring in three phases until 9:00 AM local time, despite the ceasefire supposedly taking effect at 7:30 AM. Netanyahu stated Israel's limited strike destroyed a radar installation near Tehran in response to Iran's rocket attack.
