The price of Ripple's XRP has been under pressure for weeks, but large investors, known as 'whales,' now seem to be taking action.

According to new data, they have recently bought XRP in bulk, possibly to defend the crucial threshold of $2 per token. The current price hovers around $2.24, with whales adding nearly 900 million tokens worth $1.9 billion in just 48 hours.

While some long-term holders may be selling, the whales' activity suggests confidence in a recovery. The coming days will be crucial to see if XRP can maintain its position above $2.
