Ferguson loses in play-off as Reitan claims victory at Soudal Open

Ewen Ferguson missed out on victory after a play-off loss to Kristoffer Reitan, who claimed his first DP World Tour title at the Soudal Open.

Scotland's Ewen Ferguson missed out on his fourth DP World Tour title after losing in a play-off at the Soudal Open in Belgium. The overnight leader bogeyed his final hole, forcing a three-way play-off with Norway's Kristoffer Reitan and Dutchman Darius van Driel.

Reitan, who started the day nine shots behind Ferguson, carded a course-record 62 with 10 birdies to tie at 13 under. In the play-off, Reitan holed a 15-foot putt to secure his first European tour victory.

"It's been a dream of mine since I was a little kid," said Reitan. "To turn it around and win here is ridiculous."
