A Ukrainian drone attack on energy infrastructure in the Russian-occupied parts of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions has caused widespread power outages, according to Russian authorities. Yevhen Balytskyi, head of the occupied Zaporizhzhia region, reported that 457 settlements in the region lost power, affecting over 600,000 homes.

In the neighboring Kherson region, Moscow-installed official Volodymyr Saldo claimed that drone debris damaged substations, leaving 150 settlements without electricity. Ukrainian officials have not commented on these claims, which could not be independently verified.
