Tragic Derailment in Baden-Württemberg
A regional express train derailed near Riedlingen in Germany's Biberach district on Sunday evening, resulting in three fatalities and approximately 50 injuries. The train was traveling from Sigmaringen to Ulm in Baden-Württemberg when the accident occurred.

German weather services reported 30-40mm of rain fell rapidly during severe thunderstorms. Rescue Operations
Emergency services worked through the night to extract passengers from the wreckage. Rescue efforts were hampered by the remote location and difficult terrain. Among the deceased were the train driver and another Deutsche Bahn employee. Medical teams treated 25 critically injured victims at the scene before hospital transfer.
