The world's largest crypto conference, Bitcoin 2025, is taking place at the Venetian hotel, where even coffee can be paid for with bitcoin. With a record 35,000 attendees and around 500 speakers, the event is considered the pinnacle of the crypto industry.
"This is the place to be," says a vendor selling Trump merchandise. "He's the first president to support the crypto world." The Trump administration and his family business are well represented, with Vice President JD Vance declaring that the industry finally has an ally in the White House.
Donald Trump, who once called cryptocurrencies a "scam," now brands himself the 'crypto-president.' His sons, Eric and Don Jr., are deeply involved in crypto ventures, with the family reportedly earning $3 billion in just six months. Trump's new crypto regulator, Hester Peirce, announced a complete reset for the industry, easing regulations on memecoins and stablecoins.
