Court documents reveal Ramirez's extensive criminal record, including a prior conviction for assaulting a Black man in Laguna Beach. Open cases against him include a 2024 DUI charge and 2022 domestic violence allegations. After the crash, an unidentified Hispanic male shot Ramirez in the back before fleeing. Police continue searching for this armed suspect described as 5'9", 180 lbs, wearing a blue jersey and potentially carrying a silver revolver. Ramirez remains hospitalized under police guard.
