Aviation Accident at Southend Airport

A Beechcraft Super King Air 200 aircraft operated by Dutch firm Zeusch Aviation crashed moments after takeoff from London Southend Airport on July 13, 2025. The twin turboprop plane was en route to Lelystad Airport in the Netherlands when it went down near the airfield around 16:00 local time.

Emergency Response

Emergency services including fire crews rushed to the scene where eyewitnesses reported seeing a large fireball upon impact. Nearby golf and rugby clubs were evacuated as a precaution. The 12-meter aircraft reportedly banked sharply left before plummeting to the ground shortly after becoming airborne.

EasyJet canceled four flights from Southend to Paris, Alicante, Faro, and Palma de Mallorca. Authorities haven't confirmed the number of occupants or potential casualties. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has launched an inquiry to determine the crash cause.
