T-Mobile Crowned as America's Top Mobile Network, Unveils New Satellite Service and DashPass Benefit

T-Mobile has been named America's best mobile network by Ookla. The company also announced the commercial launch of T-Satellite for coverage beyond traditional towers, a free DashPass benefit for customers, and an Easy Upgrade program to switch from competitors.

T-Mobile Achieves Network Supremacy

In a landmark announcement on June 23, 2025, T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert revealed that the company has officially secured the title of America's Best Mobile Network. This recognition comes from Ookla's comprehensive analysis of over half a billion real-world tests conducted between Q4 2024 and Q1 2025, positioning T-Mobile ahead of competitors AT&T and Verizon in both speed and user experience.

Satellite Connectivity Breakthrough

T-Mobile simultaneously announced the July 23 commercial launch of its revolutionary T-Satellite service in partnership with Starlink. This pioneering technology will provide coverage to over 500,000 square miles of previously unreachable U.S. territory. Starting with SMS/MMS capabilities for Android and iOS devices, the service will expand to include data transmission on October 1, enabling select applications to function in satellite-only zones.

Enhanced Customer Benefits

Beginning July 8, most T-Mobile customers will receive complimentary DashPass subscriptions ($120 annual value) featuring $0 delivery fees on DoorDash orders. This addition complements T-Mobile's existing Magenta Status benefits including Apple TV+, Netflix, MLB.TV, MLS Season Pass, and international roaming across 215+ destinations.

Competitive Switching Program

The Un-carrier introduced 'Easy Upgrade' - an incentive program allowing Verizon and AT&T customers to switch while receiving up to $800 per line to cover termination fees and obtaining new iPhone Pro devices. Family plans can upgrade four lines with iPhone 16s for $100/month, all backed by T-Mobile's five-year price guarantee.

Network Expansion Commitment

Metro by T-Mobile simultaneously increased premium data allocations, with the $50/month plan now offering 50GB (up from 35GB) and the $60/month plan providing 70GB of high-speed data. These enhancements further demonstrate T-Mobile's commitment to delivering both network superiority and exceptional value across all service tiers.
