12 Young Gamers Steal Bitcoin Worth €220 Million in a Single Hack

Twelve young gamers have been charged for stealing €220 million in Bitcoin through hacking and fraud, spending the funds on luxury goods.

The US Department of Justice has charged 12 young gamers for their involvement in an organized cybercrime ring. The group allegedly stole 4,100 BTC, worth hundreds of millions of dollars, from a single victim. The suspects, aged between 18 and 22, are accused of hacking databases, phishing cryptocurrency holders, and even physically stealing hardware wallets. They also laundered the stolen funds using VPNs, crypto mixers, and peel chains to obscure their tracks. The group reportedly spent millions on luxury items, including cars, watches, and real estate.
