NVIDIA has introduced cBottle, the world's first generative AI foundation model designed to simulate global climate at kilometer resolution. Part of the NVIDIA Earth-2 platform, cBottle can generate realistic atmospheric states based on inputs like time of day and sea surface temperatures. This breakthrough enables faster and more energy-efficient climate predictions without compromising accuracy.

Leading institutions such as the Max-Planck-Institute for Meteorology and Allen Institute for AI are leveraging cBottle to transform climate data into an interactive generative AI system. The model was tested at the World Climate Research Programme Global KM-Scale Hackathon, showcasing its potential for high-resolution climate modeling.
