PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has warned that India's suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT) could lead to the first nuclear war over water. Speaking at the Middle East Institute in Washington, Bilawal emphasized that water scarcity is an existential issue for Pakistan. He urged the international community to pressure India to adhere to the IWT and prevent future conflicts.
The Pakistani delegation, including former foreign ministers and senior envoys, is engaging with US officials to present Pakistan's perspective on rising tensions with India. Bilawal stressed the need for dialogue and cooperation to address climate challenges and regional stability.
