The Argentinian President Milei has made harsh remarks about the Spanish Prime Minister Sánchez during a speech, calling him a 'thug'. Diplomatic relations between the two countries have been strained since last year when Milei accused Sánchez's wife of corruption.
"If you want to beat up the local thug, no problem!" Milei provocatively declared at a right-wing economic forum in Madrid. Although he did not explicitly name Sánchez, the crowd responded with chants of "Pedro Sánchez, son of a whore".
Milei also stated, "I will always stand by your side in the fight against socialist scum," referring to Sánchez and his socialist party PSOE. Sánchez has yet to respond to these comments.
The remarks coincided with a massive protest in Madrid against Sánchez, organized by the conservative Partido Popular, accusing him of corruption and demanding new elections.
