Over a hundred detainees escape from prison in Pakistan

In southern Pakistan, more than a hundred prisoners escaped after being temporarily evacuated from their cells due to a minor earthquake.

Pakistani police reported that 216 inmates fled from the Karachi prison last night. The incident occurred after several prisoners attacked guards outside their cells, seized their weapons, and opened fire before escaping. Authorities managed to recapture 78 of the fugitives.

At least one prisoner was killed in the shooting, and security personnel were injured. Police are conducting raids to apprehend the remaining escapees.
