In Germany, a small plane crashed into a house, resulting in two fatalities. The house caught fire after the crash.
One of the victims is believed to be the pilot, according to police. It is unclear whether residents were among the victims.
German media report that the crashed aircraft is likely a Cessna. Photos show the tail protruding from the house, while the roof remains largely intact. The plane appears to have entered the house from the side.
The cause of the crash is still unknown. According to the Rheinische Post, an eyewitness reported seeing a small sports plane flying low with unusually loud engine noise shortly before the accident.
The incident occurred in Korschenbroich, near Mönchengladbach, just a few dozen kilometers from the Dutch border.
