All eighteen victims of the knife attack in the German city of Hamburg are in stable condition, according to the German police. Earlier reports indicated that four individuals were in critical condition, but their health has since stabilized.
The attack occurred at Hamburg's central station, where a woman randomly stabbed travelers on a platform. Two bystanders intervened, helping to quickly subdue the suspect.
The suspect, a 39-year-old German woman with no fixed address, is believed to have a mental health disorder. She has been charged with fifteen counts of attempted murder, while the remaining three victims sustained injuries from falls or shock.
Hamburg's central station, one of Germany's busiest with half a million daily travelers, was closed for several hours following the incident.
