IBM is simplifying the enterprise data stack with new software designed to unify, govern, and activate unstructured data for AI applications. The introduction of watsonx.data integration and watsonx.data intelligence aims to enhance AI accuracy by 40% compared to conventional RAG methods, according to internal testing.
These tools integrate with IBM's hybrid, open data lakehouse, watsonx.data, providing flexibility and interoperability with third-party data stacks. Lockheed Martin has already leveraged this technology, enabling 70,000 employees to access information from millions of documents using natural language.
IBM's new offerings address the challenge of harnessing unstructured data, which constitutes up to 90% of enterprise data. The solutions include capabilities for data integration, governance, and AI-driven analytics, set to launch on June 11.
