The American singer Chris Brown has been released on bail after being arrested last week in the United Kingdom. He is suspected of a serious assault in a nightclub in 2023.
Brown was released after paying a bail sum of £5 million (nearly €6 million). This clears the way for him to start his world tour next month. On June 8, he will kick off his Breezy Bowl XX tour in Amsterdam.
The 36-year-old singer was arrested last week at his hotel in Manchester for allegedly hitting a music producer with a bottle in a London nightclub. The victim was hospitalized after being kicked by Brown.
The court ruled that Brown may only use his passport for the tour and must comply with other conditions, including no contact with the victim and avoiding the nightclub where the incident occurred.
Brown is scheduled to appear in court in London on June 20.
